- Crtc [Search on AGR]
Drosophila melanogaster CREB-regulated transcription coactivator (Crtc) encodes a highly conserved transcriptional coactivator of cAMP-response element-binding protein (CREB). Its nuclear localization is regulated by several factors including intracellular cAMP or calcium levels, or calcineurin. Sik family kinases also phosphorylate to inhibit the product of Crtc and, consequently, control energy homeostais and lipid metabolism.

Homo sapiens Members of the Rab protein family are small GTPases of the Ras superfamily that are thought to ensure fidelity in the process of docking and/or fusion of vesicles with their correct acceptor compartment (Han et al., 1996 [PubMed 8646882]).[supplied by OMIM, Nov 2010]

Rattus norvegicus Predicted to enable ATP binding activity; magnesium ion binding activity; and protein serine/threonine kinase activity. Predicted to be involved in several processes, including microtubule cytoskeleton organization; positive regulation of TOR signaling; and protein phosphorylation. Predicted to act upstream of or within endochondral bone morphogenesis; limb morphogenesis; and regulation of protein localization. Predicted to be active in cytoplasm. Orthologous to human SIK3 (SIK family kinase 3); INTERACTS WITH 17beta-estradiol; 2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzodioxine; 6-propyl-2-thiouracil.

Homo sapiens Serine palmitoyltransferase (SPT; EC 2.3.1.50) catalyzes the first committed and rate-limiting step in sphingolipid biosynthesis. SSSPTB is a small SPT subunit that stimulates SPT activity and confers acyl-CoA preference to the SPT catalytic heterodimer of SPTLC1 (MIM 605712) and either SPTLC2 (MIM 605713) or SPTLC3 (MIM 611120) (Han et al., 2009 [PubMed 19416851]).[supplied by OMIM, Nov 2010]
