CLH-6::GFP is expressed throughout embryonic, larval, and adult stages in various tissues including hypodermis, intestine, body wall muscle, and vulva region. CLH-6 co-localized with NUC-1::CHERRY, but not reporters of Golgi, ER, or early endosomes. This suggests that CLH-6 localizes to lysosomes. We expressed human ClC-7 in worms and found that it localized to lysosomes and showed rescue activity to the same extent as CLH-6.
